2007 - Past Practice/ designTRIBE Ltd

The establishment of the marae Te Noho Kotahitanga on the UNITEC Mt Albert Campus, was an historic development for the tertiary institute, symbolising the longterm and pivotal relationship between the tangata whenua Ngāti Whatua and UNITEC.

A design and construction process lead by Taonga Whakairo - Lionel Grant, in collaboration with designTRIBE Architects, resulted in the development of this iconic and symbolic Wharenui for the students, staff and community of Owairaka/ Mt Albert.
