The establishment of the marae Te Noho Kotahitanga on the UNITEC Mt Albert Campus, is an historic development symbolising the longterm and pivotal relationship between the tangata whenua - Ngati Whatua, and UNITEC.
A design and construction process lead by Taonga Whakairo - Lional Grant, in collaboration with designTRIBE Architects, resulted in the development of this iconic and symbolic Wharenui ('meeting house') for the students, staff and greater community of the Owairaka/ Mt Albert.
